My interest in anime began in High school however I did not start cosplaying until I was 19 after going to my first convention Ushicon in Austin, TX. Since then I have been hooked. My first cosplays started out very simply since I did not have any sewing skills nor a sewing machine. My early costumes were handsewn and horribly made, but eventually I began to learn patterns and sewing techniques. I eventually purchased a sewing machine and have never looked back.

To me, cosplay is a hobby I do for fun. I very rarely compete with my costumes. While I'm sure people find competing fun, my main goal is to simply enjoy the costumes with my friends. Through cosplay I have traveled a lot and made many friends.

Besides cosplay, I staff my local convention Anime Boston. From 2005 till 2007 I was the Panels Programming Manager. For the 2008 convention, I was elected to the executive staff as Secretary, only to step down to take on the role of Director of Registration.

Personally, I'm a huge animal lover, especially cats. I'm a bit of a sci-fi and fantasy geek and I dabble in art. I currently work for the state as a temp as well as an after-hours answering service.
